Parks & Recreation

  1. 2021 Papillion Half Marathon, 10K and 5K

    May 16, 2021, 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM @ Papillion Landing Field House

    The Annual Papillion Half Marathon will begin at 7:30 am with the 10K and 5K to begin shortly after. Start and Finish will be at the new Papillion Landing Campus in 2021. During the races, activities will include: DJ and Music, Food and Service Vendors and much more! Stick around and enjoy the day and watch the awards ceremony at the end of the races. Online Registration closes Monday, May 11th. Registration can still be done over the phone or in house at the Papillion Recreation Office until May 13th. Office is located at 1046 W. Second Street in Papillion. Call 402-597-2041. After Thursday, Late Registrations will only be taken at Packet Pick from 4:00-7:00 pm.

  1. USAF Heartland of America Band Armed Forces Day Concert

    The United States Air Force Heartland of America Band will present a FREE entertaining & patriotic community concert on Saturday, May 15th at 2:00 pm, at the SumTur Amphitheater, Papillion, NE. “A Salute to the Armed Forces” will encompass a variety of selections celebrating our nation’s Armed Forces Day, the patriotic spirit of the American people, and the countless veterans who have served in all branches of the military. The program includes a special musical tribute to our 1991 Gulf War veterans in recognition of the 30th Anniversary of Operation Desert Storm. FREE tickets will be available online at www.afheartlandband.eventbrite.com, or in-person at the Papillion Landing Community Recreational Center, 1046 W Lincoln Street, Papillion, NE. Admission to this event is limited to 800 persons.
