Law Enforcement Education Program (LEEP)

Saturday, October 17, 2020, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The Papillion Police Department’s Law Enforcement Education Program (LEEP) is for anyone 18 and older who is considering a career in law enforcement. The program provides an opportunity to experience what it might be like to be a police officer by attending four blocks of instruction during the one-day event. The interactive program includes instruction about SWAT, building searches, DWI, patrol, K-9, defensive tactics and more. Each participant will conclude the day by actively participating in two scenarios where they will use the working knowledge they learned during the previous classes.

All applicants will be subject to a criminal justice records check and need to be at least 18 years old.   There is no fee to participate in the academy. The application deadline is OCTOBER 1, 2020. Officer Phil Tackett, 402-597-2035, will be the point of contact for any questions about the program, or the status of your application.
