LIBRARY DIRECTOR
 
POSTING PERIOD:  February 26 - April 30, 2015
 
SALARY:  Based on Qualifications and Experience
 
SUMMARY:  Responsible for the administration and operation of the city’s library through the development, coordination, and administration of operational activities pertaining to all functions of the library.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND/OR LICENSES:
1. Must possess a valid driver’s license at the time of hire.
2. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s Degree in library science (MLS or MLIS).
3. Must have two (2) years of experience in public library administration, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
4. Must have five (5) years of responsible supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
5. Must have Nebraska Library Commission Level V Public Librarian Certification or must obtain  within a time frame established by employer. 
6. Must be bondable.
 
 
ENTRY LEVEL POLICE OFFICER
 
The Papillion Police Department is accepting applications for Entry Level Police Officers for entry level testing.  The testing is to establish an eligibility list for the position of Police Officer.  This list will be used for current and future vacancies.  The current starting salary is $48,016.70.  The City of Papillion offers a competitive benefits package.  
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
Enforcement of local and state laws
Response to emergency situations
Perform criminal investigations
Ability to operate computers, electronic instruments, motor vehicles, and firearms. 
 
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND/OR LICENSES
Must possess a valid driver’s license at the time of hire. 
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age at the time of hire. 
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent. 
Must possess an Associate’s Degree and/or successful completion of sixty (60) semester credit hours from an accredited college or university, at the time of hire*. 
Must obtain certification from the State of Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center basic course, within a time frame established by the employer. 
Must maintain all certifications as required. 
Must be bondable. 
 
Must be willing to submit to a drug screen, medical exam, background investigation, psychological evaluation, and polygraph test.  Position requirements may be downloaded at www.papillion.org on the Human Resources tab.
 
The written exam is scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, 2015, 6:00 p.m., at Papillion-La Vista High School, 402 E. Centennial Road, Papillion, NE 68046. 
Candidates must pay a $35.00 registration fee IN CASH at the exam. Only exact change will be accepted.  If the fee is not paid at this time, you will not be allowed to take the test.

TECHNOLOGY SERVICES COORDINATOR

SALARY:  Grade 15, Step 1 $18.39/hour
 
SUMMARY:  Responsible for professional library work through the utilization and maintenance of available technical and information services.  Also, responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure efficient provisions of library services.  An incumbent will be required to work varied hours during the week, including evenings and weekends.

1. Must possess a valid driver’s license at the time of hire.
2. Must possess an Associate's Degree and/or successful completion of sixty (60) semester credit hours from an accredited college or university, with major work in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education training, and experience.  Bachelor's Degree preferred.
3. Must have two (2) years of experience in computer user support, preferably in a library setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

SALARY:  $10.21/hour (evenings and weekends, 10-15 hours per week)
