Fire Department
Our Department
The City of Papillion Fire Rescue department proudly protects 45,000 people living in an area of 44 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects both residential and light industrial areas. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. We have a fire suppression (ISO) rating of four. Located just south of Omaha, Our Department handles both Fire and EMS whereas 8 Fire Fighters are on duty 24 hours a day/365 days a year, at least one of which is a Paramedic and the compliment consist of EMT-I and EMT-B. Our volunteers backup the career staff on FIRE/EMS calls. We are one of only two fire departments (Omaha Fire Rescue) in Sarpy County to guarantee Advanced Life Support on duty at all times. Over 50 years ago our department was one of the founding members of a Mutual Aid System, which now consists of four counties and 27 agencies.
Our department provides the following services to Papillion's residents:
| Fire | Fire Prevention Education | EMS | Haz-Mat |
| Search & Rescue | Extrication | Surface ICE/Water Rescue | Juvenile Fire Starter Course |
