Dear Citizens:
The Papillion Recreation Department Staff are all members of the National Parks and Recreation
Organization. Through our professional involvements and training, we are committed and dedicated to the mission of advancing parks, recreation and conservation efforts that enhance the quality of life for all people.The Papillion Park and Recreation Departments have four primary objectives in driving this mission: - To promote public awareness and support for recreation, park and leisure services;
- To advance public policy that supports recreation, parks and leisure programs and services;
- To facilitate and enhance the development of park, recreation and tourism professionals and;
- To promote the development of a body of knowledge relative to park and recreation programs.
July is National Parks and Recreation month…so help us celebrate by participating in one of our summer Recreation programs, attending Papio Bay, playing some golf at Eagle and Tara Hills golf courses, attending several of the free community activities we have in store for you at the Sumtur Amphitheater and enjoying yourself in and on our trails, parks and shelters throughout Papillion. Please have a happy and safe summer season….we look forward to seeing you!
