Fall Cleanup Days:
Fall Cleanup Days have been scheduled for October 22-25 at the public works complex located at 99th St and Portal Rd. The site will be open from 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. each day, with shredding services available on October 24th from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Please click here for additional information, including lists of acceptable and unacceptable items, or call the Public Works Department at 402-597-2043.
#2 Best Place to Live:
Papillion has once again been rated a Best Place to Live by Money magazine. For 2015, Papillion is ranked #2 on the list. More information on the ranking is available here. This is the sixth consecutive time Papillion has made Money’s list since 2005, and the fifth consecutive Top 10 Best Place ranking. Money’s Best Places ratings alternate between big cities and small cities every other year.
Neighborhood Grant Program:
The City has grant money available to help fund neighborhood projects. Please click here for details on eligible projects and to access the application form.
Best Place in Nebraska to Raise Kids:
Bloomberg Businessweek magazine has named Papillion as the best place to raise kids in Nebraska. Click here to learn more about the criteria used to make this determination
#1 Small Town in America 2012:
Papillion was ranked as the #1 Small Town in America in 2012 by Livability.com, a website that specializes in identifying the best places in America to live and visit. You can read the Livability description of Papillion on their web site. Congratulations to every resident, business and community partner that made this recognition possible.
Community Video Program:
The City has entered in to an agreement with CGI Communications to produce promotional videos about Papillion. Local businesses will be given the opportunity to participate in the video program as well. CGI Communications has a good business reputation and the City officially supports their activity in Papillion.
